J Hook Worsted Yarn
2 - 10 jingle bells
NOTE: Chains at beginning of row are NOT counted as a stitch.
Gauge: 6 stitches = 2 inches
Chain 19
Row 1: Single crochet in 2nd chain from hook and each chain across.
Chain 2 and turn. (18 stitches)
Row 2-12: Half double crochet in same stitch as turning chain and each stitch across.
Chain 2 and turn. (18 stitches)
Working the first part of the toe in short rows,
all in single crochet, with no turning chain;
Row 13: Single crochet 2 together, single crochet in
next 11 stitches, turn.
(12 stitches) 5 stitches unworked.
Row 14: Single crochet in next 8 stitches,
turn. (8 stitches) 4 stitches unworked.
Working across the short rows, down the side of short rows,
then to the end of row;
(NOTE: Count stitches before you turn for the next row.)
Row 15: Single crochet next 8 stitches,
pull up a loop in the side of the short rows,
pull up a loop in the next stitch,
single crochet these loops together
with the stitch on the hook,
single crochet in next 2 stitches,
single crochet last 2 stitches together,
turn. (12 stitches)
Row 16: Single crochet 2 together, single crochet in
next 10 stitches, pull up a loop in the side of the
short rows, pull up a loop in the next stitch,
single crochet these loops together
with the stitch on the hook, ,
single crochet in 1 stitch,
single crochet last 2 stitches together,
turn. (14 stitches)
Working across the entire row again:
Row 17: Single crochet 2 together, single crochet in next 10 stitches,
single crochet last 2 stitches together, chain 1, turn.
(12 stitches)
Row 18: Single crochet 2 together, single crochet in next 8 stitches,
single crochet next 2 stitches together, chain 1, turn.
(10 stitches)
Row 19: Single crochet 2 together, single crochet in next 6 stitches,
single crochet next 2 stitches together, chain 1, turn.
(8 stitches)
Row 20: Single crochet 2 together, single crochet in next 4 stitches,
single crochet last 2 stitches together, chain 1, turn.
(6 stitches)
Row 21: Single crochet 2 together, single crochet in next 2 stitches,
single crochet last 2 stitches together, chain 1, turn.
(4 stitches)
Row 22: Single crochet in each stitch, chain 1, turn.
(4 stitches)
Row 23: Single crochet 2 together, twice, chain 1, turn.
(2 stitches)
Row 24: Single crochet 2 stitches, chain 1, turn.
(2 stitches)
Leaving yarn long enough to sew the toe up,
cut yarn and pull through last loop.
Turn slipper inside out, sew slipper together at toe and heel.
Use your crochet hook to push the toe right side out.
Sew bell fast to tip of curly toe.
Join yarn at heal seam and half double crochet
around the top. End.
Make a chain and thread it through the round
you just made for a tie. (mine are 40 -45 chains)
