Little Treat Bag © Judith Prindle 8/3/2011

Bag is about 4&1/2 inches tall and 3&1/4 inches wide.

Hook Size I

Worsted Weight Yarn (I used Redheart Super Saver)

This little bag is worked in rounds without joining until final round. I just use a piece of yarn to mark the beginning end of the bag.

Chain 11

Single crochet in 2nd chain from hook to last chain, 2 single crochet in last chain, continue up other side of beginning chain with a single crochet in each chain until first single crochet, work another single crochet in first chain.
First round is complete. (20 single crochet)

Round 2; Half double crochet in each single crochet . (20 half double crochet)

Rounds 2-9; Half double crochet in each stitch. (20 half double crochet)

Round 10; Half double crochet in each stitch to lasyt stitch of round, join with a slip stitch. (20 half double crochet)

Round 11; Chain 4, skip 1 stitch, * double crochet in next stitch, chain 1, skip 1 stitch,* repeat between * * to beginning chain 4, join with slip stitch in 3rd chain. Cut yarn and hide end or make a chain 5 and pull the yarn through the last chain as I did in the yellow bag!

Form closure by chaining 20 join with a slip stitch to a double crochet, chain 22 more, cut the yarn and pull it trough the 22nd chain. Trim ends, thead the tie chains through the double crochet round and you are done.GRANNYJUDITHhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09342309743783631080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11236251.post-89747321319570039872010-08-19T09:56:00.002-04:002010-08-19T09:56:15.049-04:00Easy Comfy Crocheted SlippersCopyright to Judith Prindle...THURSDAY, APRIL 28, 2005..repost July 2009
Worsted Weight Yarn
J Crochet Hook

Finished slipper fits an average size woman.9 inches long and 8 * 1/2 inches around...They are very stretchy however.

To make them bigger I adjust size by adding more stitches at the beginning, doubling the yarn and using a size K hook, and/or adding rows.

Just keep the ratio the same. Two more rows in the toe section than the heel.
To make them smaller I usually just use a smaller hook.Working in rounds for toe part

Toe Section..this part is worked in rounds..

Round 1: Chain 4, 11 double crochet in 4th chain from hook, join with slip stitch around beginning chain 3 .

Round 2: Chain 3, 1 double crochet in same space, 2 double crochet in top of remaining 11 stitches of this round, join with slip stitch around beginning chain 3.....(24 stitches for rest of pattern at the completion of each round or row).

Round 3: Chain 3 *front post double crochet around next double crochet, double crochet in top of next double crochet, repeat from * slip stitch around beginning chain 3....

Rounds 4 - 11: Repeat round 3.............From this point you will work in rows....

Heel Section..this part is worked in rows..
(you will have 23 stitches for entire heel section)

Row 12: Chain 3, * front post double crochet around next double crochet, double crochet in top of next double crochet, repeat from *, end with a double crochet in top of the last plain double crochet, leaving the last front post double crochet unworked. turn....

Row 13: Chain 3 *back post double crochet around next double crochet, double crochet in top of next double crochet, repeat from* to chain 3, double crochet around the chain 3, turn....

Row 14: Chain 3*front post double crochet around next double crochet, double crochet in top of next double crochet, repeat from* to chain three, double crochet around the chain 3, turn....

Row 15-20: Repeat rows 13 & 14....Slip Stitch your slipper together.

You will now turn it so that you will work this round; around the ankle.

Chain 2, work a half double crochet in each space around the ankle section. Slip stitch together.

Leaving a long enough length of yarn to sew the heel of your slipper together, cut the yarn.
Sew the heel together, tuck in ends.

Make second slipper.

For Ties: Chain 50, slip stitch to middle stitch at the ankle on back of slipper, chain 52 stitches, cut yarn and pull it through the last chain.

Trim the ends of yarn on the ends of the chain.done.....My family love these and they couldn't be quicker or easier.....GRANNYJUDITHhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09342309743783631080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11236251.post-58975235611911477322010-03-16T16:37:00.002-04:002010-03-16T16:42:19.711-04:00Easy Crocheted Newborn Baby Hat & Booties<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 242px; height: 320px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Q00-qR6O3mY/S5_sPYnPN3I/AAAAAAAAB9w/2iB4wOQEPbQ/s320/judithhat-and-booties.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5449333823190808434" />

Easy Crocheted Baby Hat
Copyright 2004 Judith Prindle - all rights reseverved

This measures 6&1/2 inches long to the eylets and 11 & 1/2 inches wide without stretching before it is stitched together.

Hook Size G
Redheart Baby Soft Yarn or Bernat Softee Baby Yarn
Always working in the back loop of each stitch for ribbed effect.
You also will be working in the same stitch as your turning chain through out. Notes: The chain at the beginning of all
rounds is never counted as a stitch, including
the half double crochet rounds. You join in the first
real stitch, just ignore the chain at the beginning of all rounds.
you do not turn the bootie while crocheting it.
All joins are done with a slip stitch.

Bootie measures 3 & 1/2 inches long and 3 & 1/2 inches tall.
in same stitch and in each stitch around.
(21 half double crochet)

Slip stitch in first half double crochet.
Hide ends.

For Ties: chain 35, slip stitch around join
of the loops round, chain 37, cut yarn,
pull end through last chain and tighten.
I looped a length of yarn through the last
chain like you would for fringe and pulled
the ending yarn through it. I then pulled
all 3 ends through themselves to secure the knot.

This hat is much prettier than this scan makes it look!

Created by Judith Prindle 2/18/07

I am the only one that has made this hat so please let me know if you have any questions.

I used;
Caron simply Soft Brites
Red & Green
Size G hook

Gauge: 4 & 1/2 stitches per inch.

---------------------------------------------------------
Do Not join rounds. Do not turn, You will just hide both yarn
ends inside the cherry. No stuffing needed.

Cherries: With Red yarn, chain 2.

Round 1: 4 single crochet in second chain from hook.

Round 2: 2 single crochet in each stitch around. (8 single crochet)

Round 3: Single crochet 1 round even.
( 8 single crochet)

Round 4 Single crochet 2 stitches together around.
( 4 single crochet)

Cut leaving the yarn end long enough to
gather these 4 stitches together by weaving the
yarn end in and out through one loop of each stitch.
Pull tight and hide end inside cherry.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Leaf: With green yarn, Chain 2.

Row 1: 3 single crochet in second chain from hook,

chain 1 and turn.

Row 2: 1 single crochet in first stitch,

2 single crochet in second stitch, 1 single crochet

in last stitch, chain 1 and turn. (4 single crochet)

Rows 3 & 4: Crochet even. (4 single crochet)

Row 5: Single crochet 2 together twice. (2 stitches)

Row 6: Single crochet 2 together.

Make 6-8 chains, ( I used 6 & 7)

fasten a cherry to the chain

with a slip stitch then slip stitch in each chain back to the leaf,

slip stitch in the leaf. Repeat this as many times as you

have cherries. You can use more, less, or the
same as I did.

Cut yarn leaving a long enough end to sew leaf to top of hat.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This hat was 12 inches around.

It was for a petite baby.

If you want to make it bigger I suggest

you keep increasing at the same intervals

until you get the size you want.

(there will be 1 more stitch between increases

in each following round.

You can look at some sizing charts

here

Do not join rounds.

With green;

Chain 2

Round 1: 6 single crochet in second chain from hook.

Round 2: 2 single crochet in each stitch. (12 single crochet)

from * around. ( 36 single crochet)

2 single crochet in next stitch around, repeat

from * around. ( 54 single crochet)

I crocheted 15 more rounds even before the trim.
